Drive a short 7.4 kilometres from town centre to Baldy Top Lookout. Explore the caves and crevices of this magnificent boulder formation created millions of years ago. An easy ten minute scramble to the summit but definitely worth the view. Don’t forget our sunset nibbles hamper!

The Opal Altar

The Opal Altar

Visit St Finnbarr’s church to see the amazing Opal Altar. Local miner Des Burton was commissioned to install a border of opal around the carving of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour.  Instead, Des offered the Priest ‘a bit on the wall’. This turned out to be almost an entire wall!
